Barry J. Torau, Sr., 74, of Ligonier, died Monday, June 01, 2026, in the Latrobe Hospital. He was born July 13, 1951, in Jeannette, a son of the late Henry and Ruth McDonald Torau.
Barry served as the Superintendent at the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Latrobe. He was a member of the American Legion South Greensburg Post 981, Lloydsville Sportsmens, the Foxhill Club, the Roosevelt Club and the Latrobe Hog Association. Barry enjoyed riding his Harley, playing golf, playing cards and watching his beloved Steelers and Penguins.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty years on July 31st, Deborah J. Bayura Torau; two children, Sarah Boring (Josh) of Bolivar and Barry J. Torau, Jr. (Katie) of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Adley and Kinsleigh Boring; a sister, Barbara Rigoni of Jeannette and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of Barry will be received on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026 in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Fitch officiating.
Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin.
