Alice Grace Eichner Knizner, 97, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, October 01, 2025, in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born August 22, 1928, in Foxtown, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Cecilia Carbone Eichner.
Alice worked for many years as a bookkeeper and later at Carbone’s Restaurant in Crabtree. She was a former member of St. Bruno Catholic Church and, later in life, a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. She loved solving puzzles, was an avid walker, and loved to travel. She taught her family to seek adventures and the outdoors, possessed a strong work ethic, and was a seamstress who made clothes for her daughter. Fiery and outspoken, she spoke her mind and stood by her principles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Knizner, a brother, Robert Eichner, a sister, Janet Carns, and a granddaughter, Katie.
Alice is survived by a son, Martin J. Knizner (Nancy) of Ligonier; daughter, Janet L. Knizner Enders of League City, TX; three granddaughters, Jonie Laurella Fagen, Erica, and Courtney Enders; three great-grandchildren, Aven, Arabella, and Ava and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends of Alice will be received Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 4 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.
Inurnment will be in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
