Aleene Dinatti

Aleene (Kistner) Dinatti , 79, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh. She was born Dec. 30, 1936, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Albert and Helen Barber Kistner. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. Since childhood, Aleene felt drawn to serve her community by giving directly to friends and neighbors when needs arose in their lives. She gave not just monetarily, but also in compassion, never forgetting a birthday or a meaningful event and lifted spirits with her wit and sincerity. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Dinatti Jr.; a son, Alan L. Dinatti; and a brother, Albert Thomas Kistner. She is survived by three children, Cheryl Ronald and husband, Robert, of Greensburg, Dr. Louis A, Dinatti III and wife, Carol, of Rome, Ga., and Carolyn Dinatti, of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Cherylyn Minto and husband, Jason, Rob Ronald and wife, Katie, Adriana and Mario Dinatti; three great-grandchildren, Hunter and Drew Louis Ronald and Maggie Minto; eight siblings, Patricia Anderson and Helen Aston, both of Greensburg, Esther Beehner and husband, Charles, of Mt. Home, Texas, Shirley Mattey and husband, George, Anthony Kistner and wife, Penny, Robert Kistner and wife, Edna, Sally Waugaman and Ginny Detore and husband, Frank, all of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Rose Dinatti, of Charleroi; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Aleene from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of RNC and DCI for their loving care during their mother's extended illness.
